  Battlefront.Com.

Founded by Steve Grammont and Charles Moyan in Winter 1997/1998 Battlefront sought to regain the glory days of computer wargaming - before the entire world had computers and major companies left niche markets such as wargaming without any support.
Steve had previously worked for Sierra on the well-known games Lords of the Realm II and Civil War Generals 2. The latter of which continues to be a favorite to this day.
Charles on the other hand started out as an independent developer and then worked in conjunction with Avalon Hill to produce Flight Commander 2, Over the Reich, and Achtung Spitfire.
Since then they have picked up several additional employees including Dan Olding (Graphic Artist), Matt Faller (Webmaster, Sound Engineer), Martin van Balkom (Marketing), and Fernando Julio Carrera Buil (Graphic Artist).
Today they are not the best known wargaming company, but they do have several well-known titles. I personally became hooked on them with their release of Hubert Cater's Strategic Command European Theater. I purchased the second one Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg, which was good, but a little but much of the same old.
They are also well-known for their Combat Mission wargames, which I should try again now that I have a computer that can handle them. These games include Afrika Korps, Barbarossa to Berlin, and Beyond Overlord. They simulated World War II on a tactical 3D level.
Lesser-known but well-respected was the TacOps franchise. Recent releases include Down in Flames, DropTeam, and T-72 Balkans on Fire!
They are currently developing Theatre of War, HistWar Les Grognards, Combat Mission Shock Force, Combat Mission Campaigns, and Modern Naval Battles WWII at Sea.
While traditionally they only had the Combat Mission and TacOps franchises recently they have expanded significantly and I expect them to be a company to keep an eye on for the future as well.
