In this section I have attempted to roughly classify the various historical wargames by time period. The first period, Ancient History covers all history prior to the invention and common use of gunpowder. The second period covers the Age of Muskets, from the invention of gunpowder to the prevalence of semi-automatic weapons amongst the general soldiery. The third section covers the two World Wars, which had their own unique weaponry. The fourth section covers Modern Warfare, speaking of conflicts such as Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, etc. Finally there are those games which span across time periods, and these have their own section as well.
