In this section we will deal
with shareware war games. These war games are not amongst the most popular anymore.
At one point in computing history shareware was one of the main ways to sell software.
The concept was as follows - users receive the right to use a full, unrestricted
version of the software for a limited period of time (usually thirty days) after
which they can choose to remove the software or purchase it. While not the most
popular method for selling games, there are still a number of games that utilize
it and don't fit well into either the commercial or free portions of this site -
so here they are.
- Stratego - 10/10
- Based on the classical board game. Uses web-browser technology and is multiplayer
with a number of enhancements over the board game.
